Passive Hunt is a CV search method that allows recruiters to view CVs on eCVmobile database and contact – via SMS – only WorkSeekers whose CVs they (recruiters) have interest in. This means that through Passive Hunt, as a WorkSeeker you can receive SMS (called Passive Call) on your mobile phone from a recruiter that wishes to screen and possibly invite you for a job interview.

NOTE: As a WorkSeeker you have an option to make your CV public (i.e. make it searchable by recruiters) or private (i.e. hide it from recruiters).

HOW PASSIVE HUNT WORKS?

A recruiter searches your CV – provided you made your CV searchable – on the eCVmobile website but cannot see your contact details. If interested in your CV, a recruiter then sends SMS (Passive Call) to your mobile phone. You can either ignore a Passive Call or respond by making contact with a relevant recruiter (i.e. you can ask a recruiter to call you back or SMX your CV to a recruiter’s e-mail address quoting a relevant job Reference code).

A Passive Call (P-Call) is a 320-character SMS that consists of mainly TWO parts:

• Brief description of a job for which a recruiter thinks you, the WorkSeeker, are suitable
• Contact details so you can ask a recruiter to call you back if you wish to learn more about a job opportunity.

NOTE: A Passive Call is not an invitation to a job interview but a recruiter’s declaration of interest in engaging a WorkSeeker concerning a career opportunity they (recruiters) offer.
